RECENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: I'm going to South Africa for the very first time later this year. What are the "must see" highlights for a first-timer?
A: The things that I don't think anyone should miss are a safari in the Kruger area, a trip to the Winelands region, time in Cape Town, and a visit to Victoria Falls. See our "Introduction to South Africa" tour online for the basic trip and then consider adding various components.
Q: I want to see the Great Migration. When and where should I go?
A: Okay, so you want to go to Kenya and Tanzania. The best time to see the Great Migration is between mid-June and early September. Check out our Migration Spectacular tour online for an idea of how to structure a trip like that. Keep in mind that everything we do is customized so we can easily adjust the length, accommodations, and any other aspects of the trip to make it suit your budget, schedule and interests.
Q: I'm traveling to South Africa with my 78-year-old father and I want to include some unique experiences before we start our safari. He loves good food and wine. What would you suggest?
A: Definitely include several days in the Winelands region. From a base at the gorgeous La Residence, you can spend two days visiting some of the lovely Cape Dutch wine estates, enjoy chocolate and cheese tastings, and go to dinner at a few of the top restaurants in South Africa. He will love it, I promise!
Q: What is the best time of year to go on safari in South Africa?
A: Cape Town and the bush have opposite weather so be prepared to experience several seasons in one trip. If the safari is the most important part of this trip, I recommend that you go between late May and October.
