DAY 1: ARRIVE CAPE TOWN On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Kensington Place(Superior Room), where you will spend the next five nights. This luxurious boutique hotel is on the slopes of Table Mountain with beautiful views of the city, the harbour and surrounding mountains. The guestrooms are individually furnished and decorated with exquisite fabrics and original South African artwork. The contemporary rooms all feature spacious marble bathrooms and private terraces. After settling in, set off to explore this bustling city, spectacularly situated at the foot of Table Mountain, on a full day private tour. Cape Town’s geographical location has allowed it to absorb a wide range of cultures from traders drawn to the city for its key position on the routes between Europe and Asia. Tour the Company Gardens, Houses of Parliament and the Castle, South Africa’s oldest building. You will also visit the Malay Quarter with its brightly colored houses and cobbled streets. Conclude your day with a trip to the top of Table Mountain,* a splendid highlight on a clear day: the mountain is part of a nature reserve, and boasts a wide range of plants and animals unique to the surrounding area. *The cable car to the top of Table Mountain does not run in inclement weather, so this activity can only be done when weather permits. DAY 2: CAPE POINT DAY EXCURSION This morning, head out on a full day private tour of Cape Point, a scenic trip with many charming villages to explore en route. Head straight to the sea and follow the coastal road with its long stretch of sandy beach until you reach the small fishing village at Hout Bay Harbor for a quick boat trip to Seal Island. Afterwards, continue along Chapman’s Peak, rated one of the top scenic drives in the world, until you reach Cape Peninsula where you will enjoy some champagne and oysters and lunch. After lunch, continue back to Cape Town, stopping at the African Penguin breeding colony and Kirstenbosch Gardens, before returning back to your hotel. (B) DAY 3: CAPE WINELANDS Today, golf has been reserved for you at the Pearl Valley Golf Course. This course is nestled in South Africa’s premier new sporting residential development situated among orchards and vineyards on the outskirts of Francshhoek and Paarl. Pearl Valley is the latest addition to Jack Nicklaus’s signature designed worldwide golf courses. Return to the hotel later this afternoon and enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure. (B) DAY 4: CAPE TOWN Today, golf has been reserved for you at the Milnerton Golf Course. Cape Town’s true links course offers spectacular views of Table Mountain and Robben Island. Milnerton Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 seaside course and is a challenge to even the most experienced golfer. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the RietVlei River, this lush course is relatively flat with few trees. But with the sea and the lagoon bordering most holes, and the 7 beautiful water holes waiting to claim the wayward shot, it offers a truly unique golfing experience. Typical of many links-type courses, you will play the first 9 holes out, enjoy a light meal at the halfway house, and then return to the clubhouse via the second 9. (B) DAY 5: HERMANUS Today you will visit Arabella Golf Course outside Hermanus. Voted the number two golf course in South Africa and the top golf course in the Western Cape, the Arabella Golf Club – home to the Nelson Mandela Invitational – stretches through rolling fairways, deceptive bunkers and challenging water traps. If you are lucky, you might see whales along the coast. After the day of golfing, return to Cape Town to enjoy an evening at leisure. (B) DAY 6: CAPE TOWN - KNYSNA This morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to George. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa(Studio Suite) where you will spend the next two nights. Built above its own breathtaking 18-hole golf course and positioned between Knysna's Eastern Head, the Sinclair Nature Reserve, and the Noetzie River, Pezula is the ideal African hideaway. Each ultra-exclusive suite features a wood burning fireplace, private patio and balcony and stunning views across the Golf Course, Indian Ocean or Knysna Lagoon. Facilities at the hotel include a guest’s game room, library, Champagne Bar, Cigar Lounge and Whisky Bar. Enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure. (B) DAY 7: KNYSNA Enjoy an 18-hole round of golf this morning at the Pezula Championship Golf Course adjacent to Pezula; it is a sweeping spectacle of fairways and greens rolling through the pristine Southern Cape landscape. The award-winning 18-hole course, designed by David Dale and Ronald Fream of GolfPlan USA, rates among the best and the most scenic in the world. (B) DAY 8: GEORGE - SABI SANDS After breakfast, you will be transferred to the George Airport where you will connect to your flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival, you will connect to your charter flight to Singita Boulders, where you will spend the next two nights. Singita’s five luxury lodges are sprinkled through the magnificent Sabi Sand Reserve, a vast expanse of pristine wild Africa that thunders to the sound of the migrating herds. Situated on the banks of the Sand River, Singita Boulders is smaller and more intimate than some of its neighbors, with 12 contemporary African-inspired suites. All feature air-conditioning, ceiling fans, wooden viewing decks and a private plunge pool. After settling in, enjoy a late afternoon game drive. (B,L,D) DAY 9: SABI SANDS After breakfast, you will be transferred by helicopter to the magnificent Leopard Creek Golf Course to enjoy a round of golf.* Located in the heart of Mpumalanga on the southern border of the Kruger National Park, Leopard Creek is a picturesque and challenging course and is a paradise for bird watchers. Working closely with the Kruger National Park and nature conservation authorities, the golf course was specifically designed to blend in with the surrounding environment. After your golf game, the helicopter will transfer you back to Singita; the remainder of your day is at leisure. You may wish to enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve or indulge in a massage treatment at the luxurious spa. Wildlife in the Sabi Sand Reserve lives up to its international reputation. Abundant in the Big Five and myriad smaller creatures, the reserve is bisected by the Sand River, an important source of water and a consistent place of refuge on the animals' endless migration. Groves of acacia trees give way to open expanses of grassland, where zebra, antelope and wildebeest graze. (B,L,D) * Please note that golfing at Leopard Creek Golf Course is only allowed on weekdays. DAY 10: DEPART SABI SANDS - JOHANNESBURG After enjoying an early morning game drive, you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled charter flight back to Johannesburg. (B) |
