Start with two nights in Taipei before traveling to Sun Moon Lake for two nights to enjoy central Taiwan's rolling hills and the lake's still waters. Travel to Tainan, a living museum of traditional architecture. Tainan was once capital of Taiwan, and its imperial heritage still can be felt in the city's temples and winding back streets. Visit Kenting National Park, at the southern tip of the island. Choose to relax on white sand beaches, or explore the botanical gardens, where over a thousand species of exotic plants thrive in the hills. Drive to Taroko Gorge, the east coast's attractive ravine and center for marble carving. Return to Taipei for your international departure.
