| This trip combines an in-depth visit to the Skeleton Coast with time to enjoy two of the finest game lodges located near the famous Etosha National Park. The Skeleton Coast is one of Namibia's most intriguing regions, and a highlight of any visit to the country. This is a land of stark desert landscapes, sobering remains from shipwrecks, and unusual plant and animal life. Spend three nights on a unique fly-in safari that affords the very best sightseeing this country has to offer, and overnight in camps located in the heart of the region. Begin at Kuiseb Canyon, where you will enjoy a low-level flight past the seal colony at Cape Cross and get a bird's eye view of the famous Eduard Bohlen shipwreck at Conception Bay. The next day, explore the Huab River formations and fly to Terrace Bay in the Skeleton Coast Park. Conclude your time on the Skeleton Coast with a visit with the nomadic Himba people and a short flight north for a cruise on the Kunene River. Fly next to Windhoek for an overnight night at the Olive Grove Guest House before transferring to Mushara Lodge, where you will spend two days on game drives and hikes. The final stop is Ongava Lodge, where a professional guide leads guests on nature walks and game drives both in Etosha National Park and the Ongava Private Game Reserve. Transfer by light aircraft to Eros Airport and then connect via car to Windhoek International Airport. | |||
