| Iran is a country of rich history and spectacular architectural marvels. Our Persian Trail begins in Tehran and heads southwest to Kermanshah. Spend two nights in Tehran, exploring the city's treasure-laden museums. Travel along the old caravan route to the ancient capital of Hamadan, one of the world's longest continually inhabited towns. Depart for Kerman and the citadel at Rayen. Next, journey to the traditional Persian town of Yazd -- once an important stop on the Central Asian and Indian trading routes. Visit Shiraz, known as the city of Roses, Nightingales and Poets. Nearby, tour the famous ruins of Persepolis, the ancient capital of Darius the Great. Fly to Isfahan, a city of artistry and grace: and walk amongst mosques whose beauty and splendors have dazzled travelers for centuries. Visit the gardens of Kashan and the holy city of Qum as you journey back to Tehran, where your trip concludes. | |||
