| Begin a comprehensive journey through this ancient land with three nights in the capital city of Cairo. Visit the great sites of the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, Saqqara, and Dahshur, as well as some of the most important mosques in the Islamic world. Next, you will venture by car to the Mediterranean city of Alexandria. Spend one night here visiting the Roman Museum, the Fort of Qaitbey and many other legendary structures of civilizations past. Return to Cairo to experience the Coptic character of the city. Wander along charming cobblestone streets, and explore the great bazaar of Khan el Khalili. The following day, fly to Abu Simbel, the southernmost city in Egypt, home to the great temples and statues dedicated to Ramses II. At the end of the day, fly to Aswan for two unforgettable nights on the banks of the Nile. During this period visit the newly opened Nubian Museum and the Monastery of St. Simeon. There are endless sights to see in Aswan, revered as the most lush and fertile city on the Nile River. Sail along the water in a traditional felucca boat - a perfect way to view the wildlife that flourishes on Kitchener's Island. After fully exploring Aswan, board your Nile cruiser for four nights. The cruise will include visits to the ancient sites of Kom-Ombo, Edfu and Esna before docking in Luxor. Spend one night in Luxor visiting the Temple of Karnak and the Luxor Temple.
