BOTSWANA IN STYLE - 8 days

DAY 1: MAUN - OKAVANGO DELTA
Upon arrival in Maun, our representative will assist you with boarding your light aircraft to the heart of the Okavango Delta, where you will be greeted by your ranger and transferred to Stanley's Camp. Set in a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, guest accommodation is in one of 8 classically designed safari tents, with handcrafted beds, antique furniture, and oriental carpets. Each tent offers en-suite facilities and a private balcony, where hammocks await you. The main building is raised above the ground and offers extensive views over the surrounding floodplains. (L)
DAY 2: OKAVANGO DELTA
Spend the day exploring the Okavango Delta, the ultimate desert oasis. Papyrus and palms flourish here, amid the lily-lined lagoons that weave their way across the desert before petering out in the stark Kalahari Desert. Your skilled ranger will point out the many unique plant, animal, and bird species of the delta. Drifting through the water in a mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe) offers the chance to experience the delta outside of a game vehicle. You may also like to take an interpretive walk, where you will be introduced to the wonders of the land as you explore the region on foot. (B,L,D)
DAY 3: OKAVANGO DELTA - MOREMI GAME RESERVE
After breakfast, transfer by light aircraft to Chief's Camp in the Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve. Chief's Camp has been so skillfully integrated into the landscape that guests can often view game without even leaving camp. Accommodation is in one of 12 secluded, permanent luxury bush pavilions, which offer a front-row seat for this rich and rewarding African adventure. Each pavilion features en-suite bathroom and a private viewing deck. The main lodge complex has a lovely swimming pool and an outdoor treatment sala for spa treatments from May to October. (B,L,D)
DAY 4: MOREMI GAME RESERVE
Enjoy a full day of safari game viewing activities around the reserve. At around 1,170 square miles, Moremi Game Reserve is a vast expanse dedicated to wildlife preservation, and its boundaries are home to a variety of plant and animal life. It is considered one of the most beautiful reserves in Africa, nestled amid mopane woodland and acacia forests, floodplains, and lagoons. Activities at Mombo include morning and afternoon game drives in open vehicles, as well as night drives that allow a chance to see nocturnal creatures on the prowl. For amateur astronomers, a powerful telescope is available to take a closer look at the starry African sky. (B,L,D)
DAY 5: MOREMI GAME RESERVE - CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
Today, transfer by light aircraft to Chobe Chilwero Lodge and spend two nights in a twin bedded luxury cottage with en suite bathroom. About 35,000 elephants have made the Chobe National Park their home -- the largest herds still roaming the continent. Time will be spent watching and photographing the animals splashing on the banks of the Chobe River, and a sundowner cruise provides the unforgettable sight of hippo and elephant turning to silhouettes in the face of the coming night. At the lodge, a tiered swimming pool creates the effect of a waterfall and provides a refreshing escape from the midday African sun. (B,L,D)
DAY 6: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy a full day of game viewing and exploration in the Chobe National Park area. The region is home to large populations of elephant, buffalo, lion, and wild dog. While here, you can check out the ancient rock paintings made by early Bushmen that once inhabited the region. The diverse landscape at Chobe National Park includes riverine forest, floodplains, mopane and miombo woodland, so animals from hippos to giraffe abound. (B,L,D)
DAY 7: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK - VICTORIA FALLS
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred by road into Zimbabwe to Victoria Falls, known by the locals as Mosi-oa-tunya ("The Smoke that Thunders"). After approximately two hours, you will arrive at the Victoria Falls Hotel, a gracious property very close to the Falls. An afternoon tour of the Falls will introduce you to this mighty natural wonder; the remainder of the day is free for you to take advantage of the many available activities. In addition to exploring the Falls, you may wish to visit the nearby Craft Village and see a traditional dance performance or simply enjoy the facilities at the hotel. (B,L,D)
DAY 8: DEPART VICTORIA FALLS
After breakfast, transfer to the Victoria Falls Airport to catch your international departure flight. (B)
