| Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Bariloche, El Calafate | |||
| Begin with three nights in Buenos Aires, where comprehensive private touring showcases the capital city's many attractions, including the world famous districts of La Boca, the birthplace of tango; San Telmo, known for its Sunday market; and Recoleta, with its beautiful park and historic cemetery. Also enjoy a boat tour of the Delta, a tango show, and a day trip to a charming colonial town in nearby Uruguay. Continue to Mendoza, set against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful and dramatic stretches of the Andes Mountains. Spend two nights at a local wine lodge, surrounded by some of the country's famous vineyards. Tour the local wineries and choose from a variety of additional activities offered by the lodge. Next fly to Bariloche, in the heart of the Lake District. This northern region of Patagonia is scenically spectacular, with snow-capped mountains and alpine forests; while here, take a boat ride on the Nahuel Huapi Lake and visit the ancient forests of Victoria Island. Finally, travel to El Calafate, the "land of the glaciers," located in the isolated and distant province of Santa Cruz in southern Patagonia. In El Calafate, walk on the Perito Moreno glacier and take a boat ride on Lake Argentino, where many other icebergs that have broken loose fringe the Upsala and Onelli glaciers. Return to Buenos Aires to connect with your international departing flight. | |||
